90's Prom Graduation & 1 Year Anniversary Party
Come dressed in your best 90’s prom attire to celebrate Steph’s graduation from grad school and the 1 year anniversary of the space known as OMG Studios Boise.
On Saturday, December 9th, 11am-4pm, celebrate Steph’s completion of her grad program at Southern New Hampshire University. She’ll be virtually receiving her Master of Art in Communication with an emphasis on New Media and Marketing, while also celebrating one year for OMG Studios Boise in the Auction Frogs building. Bring your favorite snacks and drinks to share with everyone.
All Hallows' Eve Mixed Media Mixer
Wear your best Halloween costume and join OMG Studios Boise for our 3rd Mixed Media Mixer! This time we’re celebrating Halloween and the thinning of the veil that occurs this time of year.
We’ll have a pumpkin carving contest (bring your own already carved pumpkins, no injuries at our studio!) and a costume contest so start preparing those creative juices for a hauntingly fa-boo-lous good time.
What to expect:
We have an amazing lineup of artists for you. In our artist’s room we’ll have Britney Brougham, Aryssa Hutchins, Reham Aarti, and GiGi Huntley.
In our production studio, from 6:30pm-7:00pm we’ll have Creatively bring you epic laughs with their improv team! From 7:30pm-8:30pm, Luma Jasim will perform with painting and spoken word in collaboration with musician Ryan Garrett.
At 9:00, be ready to WOW us with your costumes!
And at 9:30, it’ll be time to show off those pumpkins.
Free Spirits will be serving up alcohol free cocktails all night with a Halloween theme!
This Mixed Media Mixer is sure to entertain.

October Actors Workout
Are you ready to take your acting talents to the next level? Join us October 7th and 8th at OMG Studios Boise.

We are taking an 8 week class and jamming it into two days of learning, knowledge sharing, and fun. Registration fee is $200, for both days and includes lunch. Saturday will run from 9am to 5pm, Sunday will run from 9am to 3pm

Improv Everyday with Austin Von Johnson
Improv skills transcend the stage and are directly applicable to the everyday. Whether you want to exercise your creative voice, learn valuable communication skills, make discoveries about your authentic self, or any one of a multitude of other reasons to learn improv – THIS is your class! You’ll walk away a better listener, more creative, more collaborative, and with an amplified ability to handle all the slings and arrows of life. The class ends with a showcase for friends and family.
Facilitated by comedian, improviser, actor, and all-around great guy, Austin Von Johnson, this class is sure to be the highlight of your week.
Classes meet Mondays, September 18th through November 6th between 7:00-9:00 PM at the OMG Studios (5555 N Glenwood Street, Garden City). That’s 8 weeks of improv excellence to give your every day that oomph you’re looking for.

Open House & Ribbon Cutting
In collaboration with The Boise Metro Chamber and The Garden City Chamber of Commerce, OMG Studios Boise, LLC and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers, LLC’s ribbon cutting and open house will take place on March 14, 2023. The open house will run from 12pm to 3pm, with the ribbon cutting at 12:30pm.
Jane Merrow, Golden Globe nominated actress for her work in the 1968 film The Lion in Winter with Peter O’Toole, will do the honors and cut the ribbon for OMG Studios Boise and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers. Jane has also appeared in Night of the Big Heat with Christopher Lee, onstage with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in The Comedy of Errors in 2009, and most recently in The Haunting of Margam Castle directed by Andrew Jones, one of the most prolific UK independent film producers of his time.
Steph Cullen says, “We are honored to have Jane Merrow as our guest and official ribbon cutter for OMG Studios Boise and #OMGFemaleFilmmakers. Her life and career have been an inspiration to many in our industry and we are blessed that she calls Boise home while bringing a level of talent to our community that is unmatched.”
Animals and Essential Oils
Curious about how to safely use essential oils with animals? This is the class for you!
Taught by certified dog trainer, pet massage, and animal aromatherapy specialist Rachael Wahab, of Wahab Animal Wellness, you’ll learn about animal health and how essential oils can aid in their lives. Your questions will be answered such as: Is lavender bad for cats? Should I pet my dog after I put essential oils on my own skin? How much is too much? What oil(s) can I use to help calm them down during fireworks season?
There is a lot of miscommunication floating around about what is safe and what isn't. This class will put you more at ease and give you the confidence to use essential oils safely around your pets.

Improvise! with Austin Von Johnson
Improvise! with Austin Von Johnson is an 8-week adult improv class focused on YOU. Some students sign up wanting to become performers, some want to become better communicators in the workplace, and some just want to play and have a good time. Whatever your motivation, this class is designed to be enjoyable, accessible, and insightful.
Class is from 6pm-9pm on Mondays starting February 20th.
Ages 18 and up.
Classes will be held at OMG Studios Boise off Glenwood.
Tuition is $185 and space is limited.

ABOUT AUSTIN - Austin Von Johnson has been teaching and performing improv comedy for 8 years. He's performed at the Wasatch Improv Festival, Sun Valley Film Festival, and Idaho Laugh Fest. He's one-half of the acclaimed comedy duo Nice! Cool Beans! which performs monthly in downtown Boise. Austin is also an actor and stand-up comedian. You may have seen commercial work for the Idaho Lottery and Commercial Tire or seen him on stage at The Knitting Factory, Boise Contemporary Theatre, or Idaho Potato Drop. He has taught classes for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and workshops at Boise State University, Sage International School, Boise Young Professionals, and JUMP!
Caring for Aging Animals
Whether you have dogs, cats, horses, or other feathered and scaled friends, this Caring for Aging Animals class provides information on how you can best support your animals as they age. It will answer your questions about how to advocate for them in their senior years, understand when it might be time to help them cross the rainbow bridge, and support them through an often confusing time in their lives. From arthritis, to senility, to loss of bodily functions, you'll learn all the ways that you and your pets can continue to live a fruitful and healthy life.
Taught by Rachael Wahab, AAS, ABCDT, a certified dog trainer, pet massage therapist, and animal aromatherapy specialist. Rachael is certified in animal aromatherapy by Dr. Janet Roark, a veterinarian and owner of Hill Country Mobile Veterinary Service in Austin, Texas.
You'll walk away from this class with knowledge, handouts and a reference list for future use.
NYE Mixed Media Mixer
A new year brings new hope for growth, art, and creativity (and we could all use more of that). We welcome you to our NYE Mixed Media Mixer, an event for artists of all stripes: filmmakers, painters, sculptors, lighting enthusiasts, musicians, and so on. The idea is to get people intersecting across disciplines and ring in the new year with a sense of collaboration and hopefully spark new ideas (and partnerships).
OMG Studios Boise is a new video, podcast, and collaboration space in Garden City, coming at you in 2023! Join us and other artists as we celebrate the New Year, new beginnings, and share ideas on how anyone could utilize this space for their own video production, podcasting, or meeting needs.
Please RSVP and feel free to bring friends. We'll have beverages, snacks, music, and fun! While our official event runs from 8-10pm, you're welcome to stay through midnight - we'll still be here, so stop in to meet other artists and make new friends.
